CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF

I’m Glenn Judo, A Final Year Student Of Covenant University, Department Of Economics.

AT WHAT AGE DID YOU START BECOMING FASCINATED ABOUT FASHION?

I’ve pretty been fascinated about it but like most times, I just used to go with like whatever I saw on TV, Like basically if I saw them wearing a Durag, Like a shirt and a Durag,

SO LIKE YOU GET INSPIRED WITH WHAT YOU SEE ON TV

I was, but then I realized that I could actually think of something, Like I could put it up in my head and if it looks good up there, then it would definitely look good.

CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE UP THE INFAMOUS BRAND

Basically, I’m pushing forth, I’m the main force, I own 100% of it, Though I’m starting expansion soon, So now I’m having Reps.

AT SOME POINT AT THE BEGINNING OF INFAMOUS, DID YOU FEAR THAT YOU MAY FAIL?

Hmmm, No I never thought I was going to fail because basically, Infamous was for me to have good shoes at first, It was just for myself .It even got to some point that when people asked me where I got my shoes, I had to say I got it as a gift, Cause Most times the beauty of Stuff is in when you’re the only one that has it.

IN THE PRODUCTION OF YOUR SHOES, DO YOU WORK WITH PRESENT TRENDS OR DO YOU COME UP WITH YOUR OWN DESIGN?

Umm, Both ways, Because in every company or every firm you need to survive basically, You can’t really just come up with your own designs and expect to survive, it’s pretty hard out there. So basically, I come up with my own designs then I have some designs I follow also.

HOW DO YOU REACT ON NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT YOUR WORK?

I feel everyone is entitled to their own opinion Number 1, And Number 2, is that I listen to the positive ones.

AT SOME POINT WE WERE EXCITED WHEN WE READ AN ARTICLE ON YOU, ON GAURDIAN. HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU WERE GRACED WITH SUCH AN HONOUR?

I was really happy and excited having to tell people about it.

WE HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR JOURNEY, AND WE CAN POINT OUT FOR A FACT THAT YOU FIRST SOLD YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SOLD YOUR BRAND, DOES IT MEAN THAT YOUR BRAND WOULD NOT JUST END WITH SHOES, OR DO YOU HAVE ANYOTHER PLANS IN FASHION?

Okay, Basically yeah, I believe it’s sad when people preach what they don’t practice. So I first had to sell myself as someone that practices fashion before I decided to sell fashion. So basically one of the goals of infamous is to be a one stop clothing brand for men, women and kids, To supply all their fashion needs, ranging from shirts, shoes, suits and every other thing.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR UPCOMING BRAND OWNERS OR STYLISTS OUT THERE?

Ummm, Be persistent guys. Because, most people, after their first batch and their first batch doesn’t go so well, they just go sad and give up. Because I remember from my first batch, there were a lot of errors and I was like men, I just had to work on them and stuff but like if i stopped then, I would have actually regret it but I never stopped, I still kept on moving.

DID YOU EVER GET SUPPORT FROM HOME?

I never got any support from home financially, everything was from me. The only support they gave me was in logistics, Like now, if I want to deliver something, because I used to deliver myself before, so I’d always get to talk to the person and get to know how the customer feels, but now I use a courier man, but before they used to give me the car to deliver myself.

SO FINALLY, GLENN WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE FASHION ACCESSORY EXCEPT SHOES AND LAPELS?

*lol* Well, I’m pretty keen on pocket squares, especially like when I wear them on a suit or something but if I’m not wearing a suit, then sunglasses, they really matter.
